My Pinkalicious Blog Hop for April!!

It's already April, and WOW! We've got a great hop for you this evening! If you came here from Kassidy's blog, you're in the right spot. If not, go on over to My Pink Stamper and start hopping! I was so excited to learn that Robyn wanted us to work on Birthday themed projects because there's lots of birthdays coming up in my family.

Here's what I did:

It's a card and gift box set. I am SO excited about this project because I stamped the ribbon with Robyn's awesome Sweetest Cupcake(you can find it at any of these retailers) stamp set!! Here's a close up:

I am SO happy with how this ribbon came out! If you stamp satin ribbon, which this is, make sure you stamp on the non-satin side. The ink will bleed if you don't. It stamped beautifully on the other side! I used the Tags, Bags, Boxes and more cartridge and cut the cake box at 8". I cut the purple paper at 1" and glued it around the box, then covered it with the stamped ribbon and tied a bow.

Now the card:

This is an A2 sized card and I cut the cake from the Celebrate with Flourish cartridge at 4.85" on my Gypsy. I used silver foil paper from DCWV for the cake platter. The sentiment "Seek sweetness in everyday life," is from My Pink Stamper's Sweetest Cupcake stamp set that I previously mentioned.

The candles on this cake came out really cute!

I used white and black gel pens for the swirls(like a real candle!) and gold stickles for the flames. Then, as you can see below, I used the SAME stamp set to stamp the inside of the card!

Put it all together and you get this!

I really  hope you enjoyed this project, I know I did! I'm definitey going to stamp ribbon more often too! Your next stop in the hop is.....CARRIE ANN!! Go see her fabulous creation!  Once you're done with the hop, go back to My Pink Stamper for the hop challenge!! Happy hopping!

Here's the blog hop order just in case you're lost:
